Busman's Holiday
My idea of a vacation is, of course, to blog.
TPM Cafe asked TPM contributors to write
about the convention and the future
of the Democratic Party.
You can find the post here http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/08/28/the_future_of_the_democratic_p_1/
I shall ask a question, not specific to this post, but to the topic and the holiday.
Should obstetricians either 24-hour duty, or coverage by some other specialty, on Labor Day?
Why? Why not?

Chris--
Thanks for your concern. I actually enjoyed writing the TPM blog.
I spend so much time writing and thinking about healthcare--and, of course, I'm committed to the topic.
But I also like to write about politics (which, ultimately, will decide what happens with healthcare.)
So for me, writing the TPM
post was a "holiday."
But today, you'll be glad to hear, I gardened-- dividing and replanting my Iris.
This ss a group of German bearded Iris that are an extraordinary crystal-clear sky blue. They bloom very early, in May.
Cheers, Maggie

I couldn't get the link to work...I'm sure it's another great article, but I'm kinda sick of politics altogether. I've seen enough of McCain hobbling around and Obama's purple lips. Everything is starting to look and sound the same. I tuned out all the convention stuff and watched The Weather Channel instead...hey, we had a contest at work to name the company newsletter and I won!!! Fifty bucks!!!

Nice post, but my advice is to just quit it. You're on vacation, after all. We'll still be here when you get back.
